TRENTON — A man walking his dog along the Detroit River in Trenton Monday discovered the body of a woman police believe may have been the victim of foul play.
Trenton police, with assistance from the Downriver Mutual Aid Team, Grosse Isle Township police and Trenton Fire Department, recovered the nude body of a black woman believed to be 30 to 40 years old. The body was discovered shortly after 6 p.m. near Meyer Ellias Park, east of Jefferson along the riverfront. The body was taken to the Wayne County Medical Examiner’s Office; the woman reportedly did not appear to be dead for long.
At press time, Trenton Police were asking anyone with information regarding the identity of the woman to call (734) 676-3737, or Detective Sgt. Mark Enright at (734) 493-3865.
