This week I would like to show you what I think is a great product for those who are visually impaired or just need a little help when it comes to today’s modern technology: a talking thermostat.
Not only does it announce the temperature when you press the adjustment buttons, but it also verbally walks you through how to program it so that you can lower your temperature at night and save money all winter long this year.
Now, let’s take this a step further. Aside from the basic functions, this amazing thermostat will also tell you when it’s time to change your filter, and it protects your air conditioner from re-starting too quickly in power outages which can damage your unit.
It even turns the furnace on automatically when the temperature in the house get’s close to freezing just in case you forgot and left it in the off position.
Two more cool features to note. It has a report button that tells you your settings and the condition of your furnace, and a help button if your furnace isn’t working properly and just who to call.
A programmable thermostat is imperative to saving money, both summer and winter, and a thermostat that talks you though programming and directions can be a great help to people in need. Thanks to one of our viewers for suggesting this wonderful product.
