Soggy weather didn’t stop a determined crew of volunteers from gathering at Trenton’s Slocum Truax Park Friday for a community-build project. An ambitious playscape, made possible by Trenton Parks and Recreation via a Community Block Grant Fund from Wayne County, was set to be complete by Saturday evening. Under the supervision of Trenton Parks and Recreation, the all-volunteer crew braved the weather while restoring a sense of community to the local park.
