Celebrating 75 years of Felician tradition, Madonna University is Livonia’s premier university. Liberal arts combined with career preparation and service learning are the hallmarks of a Madonna degree.
With a student to faculty ratio of 13-1, students receive more personal instruction, from professors who have a wealth of knowledge and experience in their chosen fields.
Fully accredited, Madonna offers certificates, as well as associate, bachelor’s and master’s degrees in the colleges of arts and humanities, business, education, nursing, science and mathematics, and social sciences. Madonna boasts six recent graduates of the new doctor of nursing practice program, and Madonna’s teacher education program, once again, received exemplary status from the Michigan Department of Education.
More than 75 alumni are police and fire chiefs in their communities, and the university’s sign language program is the only bachelor’s program in the state.
The new sustainable Franciscan Center is certified at the Gold level for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design. Replete with state-of-the-art labs and digital production facilities, this building houses Madonna’s growing science and media programs.
As Champions of Character institution, Madonna is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, and the Madonna Crusaders compete in 11 men’s and women’s sports.
While the 4,200-student university community is proud of its strong Catholic heritage and Franciscan values, it welcomes students of all ages and varied religious, economic and cultural backgrounds.
