Stautzenberger Institute, 16630 Southfield Road in Allen Park, is an occupational post-secondary institution created to get you the skills needed to get you back to work as soon as possible at a reasonable cost.
It is a State of Michigan Licensed and ACICS accredited school that has more than 100 years of credibility and respect within the work force — getting residents jobs in their field of interest.
Stautzenberger offers programs focused on new and growing fields including:
Massage Therapy – A one-year program focusing on deep tissue, stone massage, and additional modalities, along with a focus on creating your own business after your externship if you choose to be your own boss. Classes are forming now for a late October start.
Medical Administrative Technology & Medical Assisting – Whether it be the front office or the back office function, serving in the medical field is on the rise. Choosing either of these disciplines fits in well with our mission of making sure that the population is in good health and being serviced by well-educated employees. Stautzenberger is the answer when looking for a school that cares about its students, its resident population, and its workers. Stop in now for a tour and find out your blood pressure free.
Medical Billing and Coding Specialist – Insurance claims will never go away, and wouldn’t it be nice to know what the codes represent (even on a personal level). With the upcoming move to ICD10 in 2013, this field will only continue to grow. Why not be one of the ones to be ready early and take advantage of the demand now?
Personal Fitness Trainer – “The Biggest Loser” spawned the demand to work one-on-one with a personal trainer who will help focus on a client’s individual needs. Whether it be to tone, or to lose weight, or even to just be in better shape overall for the health of it, the Personal Fitness Training program is the best one out there.
As anyone – we have the best here and continue to produce the best for the clubs out there now. For those of you not ready to enroll in a program to become a trainer, come on in and try out the Fit Lab experience, which is your opportunity to work one-on-one with one of our trainers to work on the areas you need to focus on without the high cost of a club. A one-hour session with a personal trainer averages out to be $7 per session.
Phlebotomy Technician – We have all been there. Giving blood to check our health is a part of life and can’t be avoided. We teach our phlebotomists with requiring more than 100 pokes, and an externship experience in a hospital or clinic setting to be sure that our students know what they are doing before they ever touch a live arm or vein. Stop in to see our lab. The arms we use, along with the blood that is drawn, gives our students the confidence long before they ever graduate.
Hemodialysis Technician – One of two newest programs, the dialysis technician program is done extremely well and really gives the students a chance to experience what it feels like to perform dialysis. The program includes a mandatory 100-hour externship which insures that the student is fully prepared before they ever have a chance to save a life. Classes are forming now for an early late October start.
Certified Nursing Assistant – Commonly referred to as the Certified Nursing Assistant or CNA program, is our most recent addition. It is the newest star in our sky of mission of healthy living for all. Classes are forming now for an early November start.
As demand rises in new disciplines within the southeastern Michigan area, we will look to expand and offer new programs to meet those needs. We are here to help the state of Michigan get back on its feet by adding jobs, and adding qualified individuals to fill those jobs.
