DEARBORN – Henry Ford Community College will sponsor a Pitcher & Catcher Six Week Progression Baseball Camp. The camp runs until Feb. 26 at the HFCC Athletic Memorial Building on the main campus.
“The camp is open to everyone,” said Steven Brown, HFCC baseball head coach. “The purpose of the camp is to help elementary, middle, and high school students learn the art of pitching and catching. Rather than go to a one-day camp, this is a progression camp, which is better from a reference standpoint because it grants participants the opportunity to retain and work on their skills. They get more individualized attention this way, which benefits them greatly. We’re certainly excited about this.”
Participants select their start date and attend the next six weeks. The camp dates are all Sundays through Feb.26.
Players ages 6 to 12 will participate from 1 to 2 p.m. Players 13 and older will participate from 2 to 3 p.m. Parking is available in parking lots I and J.
The cost of the basic camp is $20 per session per player. Six pitching sessions cost $90. Six catching sessions also cost $90. The money will benefit the HFCC baseball team. Checks should be made payable to Brown.
Participants will need to fill out a form, which is available from Brown. For further information, contact Brown at 313-657-3200 or [email protected]
