DEARBORN — Cult favorite web cartoonist Tony Miello will be at Green Brain Comics from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday for a signing of the new collection Gapo the Clown: Big, Fat and Greasy.
A New York native, Miello, has been active in the Detroit area cartooning community for years. He recently found wider acclaim as an artist on the “Wolfman Mac’s Chiller Drive-In Theater” comic book as well as the “Fat Momma” comic books from the SciFi Channel’s “Who Wants to be a Superhero.”
Gapo the Clown is Miello’s id unleashed. He’s the host of “Gapo’s Super Happy Fun Show,” a top-rated children’s television show. Gapo’s lack of morals and human decency always get him and the people around him into odd situations that lead to hilarity.
The signing will be followed from 7 to 10 p.m. by Green Brain Comics’ monthly Comic Jam, an open format improvisational cartooning event.
