TAYLOR — The New Hope Assembly of God invites the community to view a recreation of the first Christmas in real time, with a nine-scene Drive Thru Living Nativity. Actors and live animals — including a camel, donkey and sheep — set the stage of the birth of Christ while viewers drive past and listen to the story via CD narration and music.
The nativity will be on display from 7 to 9:30 p.m. for three nights beginning Dec. 16 at the church, 14000 Racho Road. This is the sixth year that the New Hope Assembly of God will stage the event, with actors at the manger and angels in the trees. Last year, church officials said about 1,000 cars went through the display.
Tickets for the drive are $5; V.I.P. tickets purchased in advance are $5 and include coupons for $3 each to Texas Roadhouse and Mancino’s. V.I.P. ticket holders may drive through beginning at 6:30 p.m. All may onclude the journey at the church with hot chocolate and cookies.
For more information contact the church at 734-287-4673.
