TAYLOR — Three students of West Middle School were suspended last week while police and school officials investigate a cell phone video featuring explicit sexual activity involving the students.

Taylor School District Superintendent Bethany Iverson said West Middle School Principal Patricia Kaechele confiscated the cell phone Wednesday, and it was then given to the school’s director of security and the Taylor Police Department. The video was to be reviewed before determining what, if any, school Code of Conduct or laws were violated.

Iverson said the video featured “inappropriate” footage filmed at a house party. Reportedly the video features two 13-year-old girls and a 13-year-old boy.

The school’s security director interviewed the students involved, and made the video available to police.

“The school district … will take appropriate disciplinary actions at the conclusion of the investigation,” Iverson said.

Principal Patricia Kaechele did not respond to requests for comment.
