Home invasion suspect arraigned

December 17, 2011 By Times-Herald Newspapers Leave a Comment

DEARBORN – A 21-year-old Dearborn man was bound over for trial following a Dec. 16 preliminary examination of the evidence against him for charges stemming from a home invasion in the 6000 block of Appoline Dec. 2.

Fawaz Al-Said was arraigned Dec. 5 in 19th District Court before Judge Richard Wygonik on charges of home invasion and larceny from a building after he allegedly broke into the house.

Investigators arrested Al-Said later that day.

Al-Said allegedly knows the victim, who reported Al-Said waited for the resident’s family to leave before breaking in.

In a press release, Dearborn Police Chief Ronald Haddad reminded residents to be watchful and report any suspicious activity.
