Henry Ford Village, developed by Ford Motor Land Development Inc., is situated on the former 35-acre family farm and birthplace of Henry Ford, at the corner of Ford and Greenfield roads. Far from a typical senior living community, nearly 1,000 people live at Henry Ford Village, and enjoy the wide variety of amenities, including three restaurants, and all-season walkways connecting all buildings and clubhouses, as well as an indoor swimming pool, spa, modern fitness center, 200-seat chapel, closed circuit television studio, art studios, dance, exercise and music rooms, three beauty salons, a Comerica branch bank and convenience store. In addition, community members enjoy over 100 clubs and activities, including line dancing, golfing, bowling, travel, book clubs, and language classes, computer seminars and so much more. As a continuing care retirement community, Henry Ford Village offers a complete continuum of living options, including Assisted Living, Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing programs. In addition, community members have convenient access to a vast array of wellness and fitness programs, including a wellness manager and personal trainer, and an on-site Oakwood Geriatric Associates Medical Center specializing in promoting the good health and care of people age 62 or greater. Henry Ford Village is a not-for-profit community, led by an experienced and accomplished independent board of directors and is managed by Life Care Services Inc., the nation’s largest manager or retirement communities, with over 100 management properties nationwide. Designed to be affordable and a great value to the middle income senior, Henry Ford Village has been a popular choice of Dearborn residents and has been a proud member of the community for over 17 years.
