Graphic novelist to sign copies of Lovecraft adaptation

January 6, 2012 By Times-Herald Newspapers Leave a Comment

DEARBORN — Green Brain Comics will host Detroit area graphic novelist Mark Rudolph from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday for a signing of his new graphic novel adaptation of H.P. Lovecraft’s short story “Dagon.”

The event will be followed by the monthly Green Brain Comic Jam from 7 to 10 p.m. The store is at 13210 Michigan Ave.

“Dagon” follows the events of a man lost at sea who encounters things that make him question
his sanity. Rudolph’s production is an 84-page book with a black and white interior and full color cover and dust jacket. There will be 200 hand-numbered copies.

Rudolph launched a Kickstarter campaign — a funding platform for artists — to finance his “Dagon” project.

Rudolph has been making comics since the third grade.
