Time for a story

Southgate Children’s Librarian Donna Milton (right) reads to a captive audience at the Southgate Veterans Memorial Library, including Sophia Lenard (left), Chloe Kennedy, Natalie Neubecker, Cadence Berry, and Arianna Quddes. The library offers winter and spring Story Time sessions for both pre-schoolers and early elementary students. Each session typically includes a story book presentation, crafts and games. Milton said the programs are designed to “Make the library a friendly place,” putting children at ease and — for the youngest would-be readers —providing early socialization prior to beginning pre-school. For information and enrollment, contact the library at 734-258-3002.
