TRENTON — Police are investigating several recent break-ins by a 20-something bicycle rider believed responsible for home invasions in Trenton, Woodhaven and Brownstown. Trenton Police Sgt. James Smellie said that a Tuesday burglary on Lafayette Street and a March 23 break-in on Lisa Court are believed to be the most recent Trenton break-ins by the “Bicycle Bandit.”

Smellie said the alleged “bandit” appears to be a white man in his early 20s, with dark hair and sporting a large tattoo on his right arm, and is believed responsible for several break-ins across three towns. Witnesses in Brownstown Township described the man riding a small BMX bicycle.

Police are asking anyone with information on the burglaries to contact the Trenton Police Department at 734-676-3737 or the Brownstown Township Police at 734-675-1300.
