DUNDEE — Cabela’s will focus on the growing population of women enjoying guns and the outdoors by hosting Ladies’ Day Out April 21.
This day-long event will present hands-on seminars, product experts, giveaways, shopping discounts, sweepstakes, and free samples. The first 100 women at the store will receive a free commemorative T-shirt.
With more than five million women participating in shooting sports — an increase of 46.5 percent since 2001 — this growing demographic can participate in classes ranging from “Handguns and Heels, An Introduction to Personal Firearms” to “How to Carry Concealed Discreetly.”
For those looking to expand their knowledge in other areas, seminars will span from “Dutch Oven Desserts” to “Blackened, Breaded or Fried, An Introduction to Serving Fish to Your Family.”
All classes will be taught by local experts and are free of charge.
Product specialists and industry experts will be on hand to answer questions and make recommendations while offering suggestions to help make a women’s next outdoor adventure a successful one.
“Our Ladies’ Day Out event is about encouraging women to try new outdoor activities in an environment that makes them feel comfortable and at ease,” General Manager Joe Ross said. “We want women to feel welcome, appreciated and supported.”
All women in attendance will be eligible to enter a drawing for a $500 Cabela’s gift card. Winners do not need to be present to win.
