The event featured pet demonstrations, contests, shopping, food, and various dog-agility activities. Hoot said she decided to “strut” with her girlfriend and dogs as a way to socialize the dogs and help out a good cause. Third from top, Dozens of dogs dressed up in outfits ranging from ballerinas to aviators take to the streets of Dearborn with their owners in tow. At bottom, Dearborn resident and Dearborn Animal Shelter Volunteer Elizabeth Frizzell works a dog-kissing booth and attended the event with a shelter dog named Twinkle, a pitbull mix. “I like hanging out with the dogs and trying to get them adopted,” Frizzell said, adding that Twinkle is sweet and a really good kisser.
