DEARBORN — Daniel Muller, a Livonia native who plays center field for the Henry Ford Community College baseball team, is one of nine players at the high school and collegiate levels nation- wide to win a 2012 Rawlings Gold Glove Award.
The Rawlings Gold Glove has been the standard for outstanding defensive play in Major Leagues Baseball for more than 50 years. In honor of the award’s golden anniversary in 2007, the award expanded to the high school and collegiate levels, including the NCAA Divisions I, II, III, Pacific Association, National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, National Junior College Athletic Association Divisions I, II and III.
Rawlings awards this honor in conjunction with the NJCCA and the American Baseball Coaches Association. Nomination and voting for the Rawlings NJCAA Gold Glove Awards mirrors that of the NJCAA All-American Awards.
