DEARBORN – The Recreation and Parks Department offers Music Under the Starts concerts in August.

Music Under the Stars is a long-standing tradition in the city, and will add another three options to the many free outdoor concerts in Dearborn this summer.

Music Under the Stars concerts began Thursday. The next concert is Aug. 9 when The Bomb Squad will entertain swimmers and park-goers at Dunworth Pool at Levagood Park at the “Funk and Dunk Concert.”

And on Aug. 30, Fifty Amp Fuse will play at the Dearborn Hills Golf Course.

All concerts are at 7:30 p.m. Lawn chairs and blankets are recommended.

Concerts will be moved to the Ford Community and Performing Arts Center in case of rain.

For more information call 313-943-2354.

More free outdoor concerts are sponsored by the West Dearborn Downtown Development Authority and the East Dearborn Downtown Development Authority.

The WDDDA hosts Friday Nites in the Park in the Bryant Library’s Muirhead Plaza at 22100 Michigan Ave. The rain alternate location will be at the Henry Ford Centennial Library at 16301 Michigan Ave. Concerts are 6:30 to 9 p.m.

July 27 — Metro Jazz Voices: Jazz standards and popular favorites

Aug. 10 — Cleary Quartet: Jazz

Aug. 24 — Beat Club: Beatles tribute band
