TAYLOR — A 29-year-old motorcycle rider was killed Tuesday in a fatal collision that critically inured two others.

A motorcycle ran into a Chevrolet Cobalt at the intersection of Ecorse and Beech Daly about 5 p.m., police said.

Taylor Police Cpl. Theodore Michowski said Friday that the accident was still under review, and several witnesses are being interviewed. Names had not been released of the victim, a Taylor resident, his passenger, a 29-year-old Wyandotte resident, and the driver of the Cobalt. The two injured in the collision were in critical condition as of press time.

“Speed may be a factor for the motorcycle, and fail to yield for the car,” Michowski said.

Neither the driver nor passenger of the motorcycle were wearing helmets. The impact left the motorcycle embedded into the right side of the Cobalt.
