DEARBORN — Police are looking for a man who stole an undetermined amount of money July 30 from a local bank.

A Dearborn Police Department press release said at about 2 p.m. a man, seen on a surveillance camera, went into Dearborn Federal Savings Bank, 22180 Carlysle St. and demanded money from the teller.

According to a Dearborn Police Department press release, after he took the money the suspect, wearing sunglasses and a black mask covering the bottom half of his face, put the cash in a duffel bag and left the bank in an unknown direction by unknown means; no weapon was identified.

The suspect is described as a white man in his 20s, about 6 feet tall, 180 pounds, wearing a black, windbreaker-type jacket with silver or white reflective material and dark pants, and a blue baseball cap with a white and red design.

Dearborn Police Chief Ronald Haddad requested the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect and anyone with information on the robbery can call the Dearborn Police Tip Line at 313-943-3012.
