ALLEN PARK – Testimony began this week in the preliminary examination of a man charged with killing and dismembering a couple and throwing their bodies in the Detroit River.
The preliminary examination for Roger K. Bowling, a houseguest of couple Chris Hall, 42, and Danielle Greenway, 32, who lived in the 14600 block of Anne and were found dead and dismembered in the river in Detroit July 17, began Monday before 24th District Court Judge John Courtright.
Testimony is set to continue at 10:30 a.m. Aug. 20.
According to published reports, relatives of the victims, among the eight witnesses called to the stand, said Bowling, an ex-boyfriend of Greenway’s, may have been motivated by jealousy.
Bowling allegedly shot and dismembered the couple in their house before disposing of their bodies in the river. He was arrested July 19 after a joint investigation by the Allen Park and Detroit police departments.
