TAYLOR — The Taylor Conservatory & Botanical Gardens invites the public to see and learn about “all things butterflies” during its annual Butterfly Day from 1 to 4 p.m. Aug. 26.
Live butterflies and educational displays will be available. Residents can look at a butterfly garden at the Conservatory, 22314 Pardee, and learn how easy and fun it is to raise butterflies.
The Southeast Michigan Butterfly Association, the Taylor Garden Club and others will be there to demonstrate ways to attract butterflies to yards. There will be many different styles of butterfly “houses” to showcase creative ways to raise them. Jeff Nicita, local expert and Master Gardener will be on hand to answer gardening questions.
