September 16, 2012 By Times-Herald Newspapers Leave a Comment

DEARBORN — Dearborn Historical Museum Acting Curator Jack Tate will be the guest speaker at the League of Women Voters Dearborn/Dearborn Heights meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday at the McFadden-Ross House, 915 S. Brady.

Tate, a former chairman of the Dearborn Historical Commission, was named acting curator in July. He serves as
a volunteer while the museum transitions into a new business model, a response to the city’s ongoing financial challenges.

Tate will provide an update on the status of the museum and an explanation of how he and the Historical Commission are managing its daily operations. He also will discuss immediate plans for the museum as well as ideas for its future.

Refreshments will be served.

Call the LWVD/DH office at 313-278-6476 for more information.
