ALLEN PARK – Two residents allegedly were robbed at gunpoint Sept. 9 while returning home from a Detroit casino to an apartment one of them rented in the 4500 block of Willow Cove.
The men said they returned home about 1:30 a.m. that day when they noticed three men get out of a black Dodge Charger parked near the door to the building and approach them.
Two of the men pulled out silver semi-automatic handguns and forced them inside the building, demanding their wallets, cell phones and belts.
The apartment resident said the suspects hit him in the head with the butt of the handgun and demanded to know what apartment he lived in. When he refused to tell them, they stole his driver’s license, telling him they knew where he lived and would kill him if he went to police.
He said one of the suspects hit him with the gun a second time and he pretended to be unconscious. The suspects then fled out of the stairwell to the west side of the driveway before disappearing from sight and he went to a neighbor’s apartment to ask them to call 911.
The other victim said the men kept demanding to know which apartment he lived in and he kept telling him he did not live there.
Two of the suspects are described as black, one standing about 6 feet 1 inch tall and 200 pounds with black dreadlocks, another 6 feet tall and 150 pounds with short black hair, a goatee and a green track outfit. A third suspect is of an unknown race, about 5 feet 8 inches tall and 140 pounds with short black hair.
The victims said they had never seen the suspects before and were not sure if they had followed them home from the casino.
