Dozens of people poured into the Friends for the Dearborn Animal Shelter “Fairlane Ford Frenzy” Thursday at the Fairlane Ford dealership, 14585 Michigan Ave. Adoptable cats, kittens, puppies and dogs greeted curious attendees who petted and held the animals. Jessica Thomey, planning supervisor at “Drive 4 Ur Community,” a Ford Motor Co.-launched program that gives dealerships the chance to partner with charity organizations in their area, said Ford donated $20 to the shelter and Fairlane Ford kicked in $30 for every test drive done at the event. FFDAS received $2,000 from the event; five cats were adopted.
