HFCC’s student-run restaurant hosts Oktoberfest Buffet

DEARBORN — Fifty-One O One, the student-run restaurant at Henry Ford Community College, will host its annual Oktoberfest Buffet Wednesday.

The restaurant will be open from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for lunch and from 6 to 8 p.m. for dinner. The price of the buffet is $14 per person.

The menu includes: Bavarian potato soup, Frankenmuth-style chicken, sauerbraten, bratwurst and knackwurst with sauerkraut späetzle, German potato salad and glazed baby carrots.

Additionally, there will be a salad bar, where customers can choose: tossed garden salad with assorted dressings, roasted root vegetable salad with horseradish vinaigrette, assorted relish tray, cucumbers with dill-sour cream dressing, pickled beet salad and Bohemian applesauce.

For dessert, apple strudel, Black Forest torte, cheesecake with assorted toppings, German stollen bread and assorted sweet rolls will be available.
