Santa and one of his sled-pulling team await visitors at the Reindeer Days weekend in Taylor’s Heritage Park Petting Zoo. Live reindeer will be on hand from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday; Santa will be available until 4 p.m. both days. More than 2,500 people joined the reindeer games last year, which for a $4 admission includes hot chocolate, light refreshments, a free craft and time with Santa Claus and a member of his team. The Petting Zoo hosts the annual event, and this year’s sponsors include Wal-Mart, Shwedel Dental, Atlas Oil, Trinity Transportation, Belfor and Total Community Credit Union. Family activities include face painting (courtesy of helper elves), and barn visits with the other inhabitants of the petting zoo. Heritage Park is at 12803 Pardee Road.
