Southgate Mayor Joseph Kuspa (left) took time at the city council’s December meeting to recognize Alba Ibraj, with congressional assistance from Eddie Connor on behalf of U.S. Rep. Hansen Clarke (D-13th District), for being named the 2012 Miss Michigan Amazing Teen. The 13-year-old, eighth-grade student at Davidson Middle School, earned the honor as one of the Michigan Amazing Girl pageant winners for her membership in the National Junior Honor Society, exemplary talents, interview skills and charitable work. Kuspa and Connor presented Ibraj with a congressional letter of congratulations and the city’s proud support.
