Southgate Ford owner Walt Oben (right) accepted with a smile a banner of appreciation from Southgate Mayor Joseph Kuspa signed by hundreds of residents and Kiwanis Park visitors. Kuspa said the many signatures — collected during Winter Wonderland weekend events including Santa’s Express train rides — reflected “a mosaic of gratitude for Mr. Oben’s generous contribution.” Oben and Southgate Ford donated $20,000 for the recent renovation of the Kiwanis Park train station pavilion, resulting in what Kuspa caleld “a new Southgate landmark for all to enjoy.”
