LINCOLN PARK — Lincoln Park Preservation Alliance’s community fundraising dinner, Lincoln Park SOUP, will again help local projects through a micro-funding event.
The annual dinner will begin at 6 p.m. Jan. 28 at Park Restaurant, 1681 Fort St., where the public will be able to vote on presentations given by nonprofit and community groups.
Winning proposals in recent years includes projects by the Lincoln Park Historical Society and Lincoln Park Farmer’s Market.
Community groups with projects to propose should email to [email protected], and presentations at the dinner will be from three to five minutes and should answer three key questions: How the money will be used for the project; how the project or group benefits Lincoln Park; and the anticipated time frame of the project.
Attendees will vote at the end of the presentation and the winner will take home a portion of the night’s profits.
The public is invited to the dinner. Tickets are $5 at the door for soup, salad, bread and a vote. Doors open at 6 p.m. with presentations starting at 7 p.m.
