ALLEN PARK – A collision on Interstate 94 killed two Tuesday.

Michigan State Police said in a press release that the driver of a vehicle headed east on the expressway near Oakwood Avenue about 11:30 p.m. that day lost control and crossed the center median. The car came to a rest on Westbound I-94.

Several of the car’s seven inhabitants who were not wearing seat belts were ejected from the vehicle and were transported to local hospitals. Two were killed.

Information about the victims was not being released as of press time because the investigation is pending and some family members had not yet been informed, MSP Lt. Michael Shaw said.

Alcohol may have been a factor in the crash, the release said.

Anyone who saw the collision is asked to contact the MSP at 248-584-5740.
