DEARBORN — The Dearborn Education Foundation will host its annual Mardi Gras from 3:30 to 9 p.m. Feb. 12 at Dearborn Hills Golf Course, 1300 S. Telegraph.
Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door and include food, cash bar, entertainment, raffles silent auction and contests.
The silent auction will items including Detroit Tigers tickets, hotel packages, Dell laptop computers, wine tasting party, hand made items and autographed merchendise.
The event also will feature the drawing for the DEF’s Big Shot 50/50 raffle, in which 100 tickets are being sold for $1,000 each and the winner will receive $50,000.
Money raised from the event will help fund grant requests made by teachers of the Dearborn Public Schools. The requests range from musical instruments and teaching tools to classroom equipment and technology.

The Dearborn Education Foundation is a licensed 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that helps enhance the education that students receive from Dearborn Public Schools through grants to fund technology, equipment and innovative programs not funded by the school district’s budget.
