Dearborn woman dies in car crash

February 10, 2013 By Times-Herald Newspapers Leave a Comment

DEARBORN — A 42-year-old Dearborn woman died Wednesday during a car crash on Outer Drive.

According to a Dearborn police press release, about 7:50 a.m., the woman attempted to cross Outer Drive near Willow Street with her Ford Mustang, when a 35-year-old Dearborn man, driving southeast on Outer Drive in a Buick Rendezvous, hit her vehicle.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Her 12-year-old daughter was also in the car and later taken to Children’s Hospital of Michigan in Detroit for “visible but not life-threatening” injuries, according to the press release.

The Dearborn Police Department said the crash appeared “accidental,” and that drugs and alcohol were not a factor.

An investigation is ongoing.
