ALLEN PARK – Two men who allegedly broke into a house in the 5800 block of Balfour while the owners were home face a pretrial May 6 in 24th District Court.

Officers responded to the house about 2 a.m. April 8 to find two men, 31-year-old Jason Lottner, of Lincoln Park, and 42-year-old Steven Tune, of Allen Park, standing in an alley behind the house arguing with the homeowners, who said they had just broken into their house.

The two were arraigned April 8 in 24th District Court on charges including breaking and entering.

According to the report, Tune appeared “highly intoxicated,” and later registered a preliminary breath alcohol reading of 0.34 percent, more than four times the legal limit of 0.08 for driving in Michigan.

He told police he was in the house because he “had to pee.”

One of the house’s residents told police he was sitting in the living room when he heard the back door open. He assumed a family member was coming home, but turned around to find Tune and Lottner standing in the room.

They ignored several requests to leave and he continued yelling at them, waking his mother and father, who attempted to push the intruders out of the door.

The son told police Lottner told Tune several times they they should “just kick their asses.” The three pushed the men outside and locked the door before calling 911.

The two returned to their 2009 Toyota waiting in the alley, which was later impounded.
