HEIGHTS – Families of children aged 18 months through 12 years are invited to Dearborn Heights Montessori Center open houses April 23 and 24.
Families are invited to view classrooms in session for toddlers through middle school during daytime open houses scheduled from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. April 23 and 1 to 3 p.m. April 24. The school is at 466 N. John Daly.
“Since our school’s founding 41 years ago, our focus continues to be on maintaining authentic Montessori programs and ensuring each student’s success,” DHMC Admissions Director Julie Bawulski said. “We are always delighted to receive visits and hear about the successes of our alumni.”
Along with providing academic programs, DHMC offers foreign languages, art, music, physical education, technology, field trips and in-house presentations as well as before and after school care. New parents can view the school’s toddler program.
Information and registration about DHMC’s Summer Camp program will also be available during the open houses. Beginning June 17 and extending through Aug. 16, the school will offer a nine-week summer camp with activities designed for each age group.
The 2013 Montessori-enriched summer program will include studies of different ancient cultures, daily math and language, science, physical education, art and technology. In addition, children can enjoy a variety of indoor and outdoor activities along with in-house presentations and field trips.
