DEARBORN — An collision at the intersection of Michigan Avenue and South Gulley about 3 a.m. Thursday killed a 35-year-old Inkster man riding a motorcycle and closed down the intersection for about three hours.

According to the Dearborn Police Department, the motorcycle was traveling north on Gulley when it drove through the blinking red light at the intersection and struck a vehicle driving west on Michigan.

The driver of the motorcycle was thrown from the bike and was pronounced dead at the scene by rescue crews. Police said the man was not wearing a helmet.

The driver of the car was not injured in the accident.
