Henry Ford Community College Ceramics Club members Mike Benyi (left) of Dearborn Heights and Erin Hoekzema of Lincoln Park create works of art on pottery wheels July 17 at the first of three 12 on 12 pop-up art galleries at 13742 Michigan Ave. in Dearborn. The galleries — which will pop up from 5 to 10 p.m. Wednesdays through July 31 — feature 12 professional artists and clubs from southeast Michigan demonstrating their art forms, answer question about technique and display their work. The galleries are sponsored by the East Dearborn Downtown Development Authority, with support from Oakwood Healthcare Inc., and the Dearborn Community Fund. For more information about the galleries, contact the EDDDA office at 313-943-3141 or go to www.eastdowntowndearborn.com.
