Make your visit to Homecoming Aug. 2-4 as easy as possible by using the free shuttle services offered by the city of Dearborn.
Two free shuttle options exist: free parking and free shuttle service from Dearborn High School, co-sponsored by Henry Ford Health System-Fairlane and SMART, and free limited shuttle service in the west Dearborn business district along West Village Drive, from Military to Monroe.
The Dearborn High shuttle will pick visitors up at the school parking lot, on the west side of Outer Drive, north of Michigan Avenue. It runs from 6 to 11 p.m. Friday, and noon to 11:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Parking is free.
Dearborn Public Schools buses, including handicapped-accessible ones, will make continuous trips between the festival and the school parking lot.
City of Dearborn vans will provide limited, free shuttle service from West Village Drive from Monroe to Military from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, and 1 to 8:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
An all-day festival rate parking of $5 Saturday and Sunday applies in Lots A, B, C, D, E and H in downtown west Dearborn. The festival rate is $3 in the parking decks on West Village Drive after 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Normal rates apply in all other locations.
Parking on the Homecoming grounds at Ford Field Park during the festival is $10. Coupons will be given with payment of the $10, good for $7 parking for a return entry during the weekend.
Parking fees apply on the festival grounds starting at 11 a.m. each day.
Homecoming is an event organized by the city of Dearborn and the nonprofit Dearborn Community Fund. Presenting sponsor is Oakwood Healthcare Inc.
The festival allows more than 15 Dearborn-based nonprofit groups to raise money for good causes that support the community, as well as gives an opportunity for another dozen nonprofits to engage in awareness or activities.
