The Dearborn Police Department Bomb Squad display received a constant stream of attention from guests at the National Night Out against crime event held in the department’s east parking lot on Aug. 6. The squad’s Andros MK V unit, used for remote inspection of suspicious items, was one of two robotic units on display that attracted the public’s attention. Besides the bomb squad, visitors were able to talk to officers and inspect equipment from the SWAT team, K-9 unit and patrol units.
