Henry Ford Village Chapel Pastor the Rev. Kurt Gebhard (left) listens as resident Melvin Byrd recollects Martin Luther King Jr’s. “I Have A Dream” speech on the 50th anniversary of the speech on Aug. 28. Byrd was present in Washington, D.C., when King gave the iconic speech, but also recollected witnessing and hearing the civil rights leader two months earlier when he participated in the Walk to Freedom in Detroit.
