I-94, M-39 interchange construction to start Oct. 25

Work to repair the I-94/M-39 interchange in Allen Park and Taylor will run from Oct. 25 to 28.

The Michigan Department of Transportation will perform bridge rehabilitation, ramp reconstruction and pavement repair.

Work will include:
• Westbound I-94 — Right and center lanes for patching repairs to the road. Closure is necessary to repair pavement approaches to the westbound bridge over M-39.

• Northbound M-39 ramp to westbound I-94 — Patching repairs to the freeway. Closure is necessary to repair pavement approaches to westbound bridge over M-39. Traffic will be detoured north on M-39 to Outer Drive, back to southbound M-39 to westbound I-94.
