According to police reports, the woman entered the bank shortly before 3 p.m. and presented a note to a bank employee announcing a robbery. The woman displayed a dark colored, semi-automatic handgun.

The woman was given an undisclosed amount of cash and she left the bank, possibly in a white vehicle that may have been a van.

Surveillance images show a white woman with a dark-colored birth mark or mole under her left eye, in her mid- to late-20s, approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall. She wore a dark colored knit hat, white scarf and blue jeans with bleach marks on the front.

Police Chief Mary Sclabassi said in a statement that officers responded within minutes.

Police ask that anyone with information to contact Taylor police at 734-287-6611 or CrimeStoppers at 800-SPEAK-UP. Information is confidential.
