DEARBORN – Trash and recycling collection in Dearborn will be delayed by at least one day the week of Jan. 6-10 because of severe weather conditions.
Residents are advised to put out their trash and recycling carts one day after their normal pickup day.
The collection delay may be longer than one day. Residents should leave out their trash and recycling carts until their home has been serviced. It could be as long as a 48-hour delay.
Carts should be placed on easements if possible; however, if snow is blocking the easement, residents should place carts at the bottom of their driveway, near the street.
Due to the high volume of calls, residents are asked to refrain from contacting the city if their trash and recycling is not picked up one day late. If collection does not take place after a two-day delay and they are concerned, they can call 313-943-2433.
