DEARBORN — Three Detroit residents were arrested Jan. 25 following break-ins of several northeast end businesses.

Deardis Maddox, 27; Calvin Williams, 27; and Diamond Mitchell, 20, were arraigned Jan. 27 before 19th District Court Judge Mark Somers on three counts each of breaking and entering. Mitchell also was charged with license forgery. Bond was set at $100,000 for each.

A preliminary examination of the evidence against them was set for 9 a.m. Friday.

In the early morning hours of Jan. 25, police officers responded to a number of business burglaries in the area of Warren and Schaefer. Police searched the area for suspects, and found two on foot and one in a vehicle. All three were arrested without incident.

Police also recovered a number of stolen items linking the suspects to multiple burglaries.

“These arrests have cleared multiple burglary cases and we are glad to have been able to put an end to this group’s criminal activities,” Police Chief Ronald Haddad said. “The patrol officers are commended for their quick response and thorough search resulting in these arrests.”
