TAYLOR — Two men reportedly were arrested Thursday in connection with a shooting during a home invasion Monday.

Police were expected to present a warrant to the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office Friday.

John Joseph Henry, 42, remained in critical condition after being shot Monday by an intruder he and his wife discovered in their home.

Police Chief Mary Sclabassi said Henry was shot and was in critical condition at an area hospital after undergoing surgery.

According to a police report, Henry and his wife returned to their home in the 7500 block of Wilkie about 9:30 p.m. and found an intruder. There was a confrontation and Henry was shot before the burglar fled. Henry’s wife was not injured, and she called 911.

Henry was transported to the hospital, and police checked for evidence and noted a description of the burglar.

Anyone with information is asked to call Taylor police at 734-287-6611.
