DEARBORN — The Dearborn Area Chamber of Commerce announced Ronald Hinrichs as its new director of events.
Hinrichs’ background includes event management, public relations, and nonprofit administration throughout the Dearborn region.
“We are excited about Ron joining our team at the Chamber,” DACC President Jackie Lovejoy said. “His expertise, enthusiasm and experience will contribute to our vision of connections, value, progress and innovation that we deliver to our members and the community.”
Prior to joining the Chamber, Hinrichs served as a supervisor in the Creative Programs department at The Henry Ford, a volunteer executive director of a local nonprofit, and most recently in the Dearborn Heights Mayor’s Office.
He has served the Dearborn community as an intern in both the city of Dearborn Department of Public Information, and the Dearborn District Office of U.S. Rep. John Dingell (D-Dearborn).
“I am thrilled to be joining such a creative and talented team at the Dearborn Area Chamber of Commerce,” Hinrichs said. “The commitment, teamwork and ideas that our members, staff and community bring to the table will allow us to continue to build upon the past successes of the chamber and provide for an exciting and bright future for the entire Dearborn area.”
Hinrichs holds an Associate in Liberal Arts with Honors from Henry Ford Community College and a Bachelor of Arts with Honors from Wayne State University. Hinrichs resides with his wife, Leah, and their 17-month-old daughter, Natalie, in Southgate.
Hinrichs will work with the chamber staff, board of directors and members to engage chamber members in membership outreach and signature events including Teacher of the Year Awards, Taste of Dearborn, the Young Entrepreneurs Academy and other annual events and activities.
