Volunteers are needed to join Ken Hughes (left), Mary Krzeczkowski, Jim Taylor, Joan Teetzel and Perry Durham for the first Heritage Park Cleanup Day April 19. Taylor, the cleanup’s chief organizer, has been a “Heritage Park aficionado” for nearly 30 years, and said he and his wife, Karen, enjoy jogging, biking, dog walking, concerts and other activities at the park, and that it’s up to residents to keep it nice. Check-in is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. at the picnic pavilion, and the clean-up is expected to run from 10:15 to 11:45 a.m. A post-clean-up prize drawing will award lucky volunteers with restaurant gift certificates, golf outing packages and other perks. For information or to volunteer contact Taylor at 734-374-5708 or email [email protected]
