DEARBORN — Police are seeking help from the community in finding a man wanted for armed robbery at the Charter One Bank, 15904 Michigan Ave., April 9.
Lt. Patricia Penman said a man entered the bank at 2:25 p.m. and presented a teller with a note demanding money. The man also displayed a handgun at the teller window.
The man was given an undisclosed amount of money from the teller and then exited the bank and was last seen leaving the area on foot.
The man was described as a black, 20 to 25 years old, about 5 feet 5 inches tall, 145 pounds with a neatly trimmed beard and mustache. During the robbery he was wearing a dark blue hoodie, blue jeans and a dark baseball hat with an image of a fox or wolf on it.
Penman said anyone with information about the robbery or suspect can contact the Dearborn Police tip line at 313-943-3012.
In a press release, Police Chief Ronald Haddad said the department is looking for assistance in getting the man in custody as soon as possible.
“We hope that someone who can identify this subject will contact us with information on his whereabouts,” Haddad said. “All bank robberies are serious, but when a gun is involved the danger to the community is greatly increased.”
