Workers replaced sections of the marquee outside of the old Lincoln Park Theatre on Fort Street last week, part of an overall $11 million Wayne Metropolitan Community Action Agency project. Construction began last year on the retail and residential project that will bring dozens of rental units and 1,200 square feet of retail space to the property in the former theater and adjoining Electric Avenue structures. The project was approved in July 2012 as a joint effort between Wayne County, the Michigan State Housing Development Authority, Lincoln Park Downtown Development Authority and other agencies.
