Think spring, or try to in spite of the rain and cold winds still blowing, and close your eyes and think about kicking up your heels at the Merry Month of May fundraiser for the Dearborn Symphony Orchestra May 10 at the Dearborn Country Club.
Co-chairwomen Linda Freitag and Gloria Nycek, experienced party planners, will bring a “breath of spring” into the DCC, at least for one night. The combination of tasty food and music provided by the Phil Cole Quartet provide the ingredients for a good time. It might be our first social event in 2014 without snow. But rest assured the signs of spring will be transferred inside in color and design. Ice carvers from Henry Ford Community College will bring a special ice carving to the party, under direction of Jeffery Lao, who will carve an ice basket.
A Champagne Reception will be highlighted by a string quartet of young professionals including Melissa and Julia Becktel and Jonathon and Rebekah Muzzi, and the Phil Cole Quartet will play for dancing.
Tickets are $175.
To make reservations, phone the Dearborn Symphony office at 313-565-2424.
